The North London Chamber of Commerce will be launching the first day of the Lee Valley Festival 2008 with this new and exciting North London business event.
This free event is open to all Local businesses wanting to find out about new opportunities business readiness.
Targeted specifically at local businesses the event will provide access to the latest information and business support which will be provided by organisations including:

- UK Trade & Investment.
This event is essential for any company that wishes to:

How to get there
Alexandra Palace is situated in North London between Muswell Hill and Wood Green. It is well served by all forms of public transport and is easy to reach by underground, road, rail and air.
Tube
Wood Green, on the Piccadilly Line, is the nearest London Underground Station. It connects via King’s Cross to the Circle Line on which main British Rail Stations are located. Journey time from Piccadilly Circus, for example, is 20 minutes. The frequent W3 bus service runs from just outside Wood Green Station to the Palace entrance.
Train
Alexandra Palace has its own British Rail Station, Alexandra Palace Station. It is located at the Wood Green entrance to the Park.
Monday - Friday (up to 9.00pm):
Every 15 minutes from King’s Cross, changing at Finsbury Park for Alexandra Palace Station or direct from Moorgate every 10 minutes.
Weekends & Monday - Friday (after 9.00pm) - every 15 minutes direct from King’s Cross.
Road
Alexandra Palace is one mile from the North Circular (A406) and 5 miles from Junction 2 on the M1 Motorway.
Junction 25, the nearest access to the M25, is just 8 miles away. An easy route from the City is the A10 then west onto the A109. From the West End take the A400 to Archway via Camden Town. Then the A1 and follow signs to the Palace.

In addition to the business day event, The North London Chamber of Commerce are delivering a ‘Winning new business’ workshop in partnership with Supply London.
The workshops will be particularly useful to small and medium sized companies thinking of tendering for contracts and winning new business.
The event will provide businesses with:
- a user friendly over-view of procurement practices in all sectors
- how to use the compete4 website to compete for business
- how to find opportunities through Supply London
- a look at challenges and barriers of working with the public sector
- requirements of successful tendering including Health and Safety and Environmental responsibilities
- an explanation at what level of the supply chain small businesses should apply to
- the tendering process itself and where to find extra help
By registering and attending the workshop you will receive a special invitation to the exclusive “Meet the Buyers Drinks Reception”, which will take place prior to the main Get ready and set to win new business event on the 19th June.
At this informal reception the small group of businesses will have a fantastic opportunity to have one to one contact with real buyers. We aim to select buyers to match the workshop group as we want to afford them the best possible chance of winning business on the day, as well as gaining valuable experience and advice on how to successfully tender in the future if they are not ready to tender now.
